Who are Zagreb Walking Tours?
We are a small, Zagreb-focused tour operator offering private walking tours of the Croatian capital, led by professional, licensed local guides. The business behind the tours is LOREA, obrt za putničku agenciju, a registered Croatian travel agency.
Are your tours private?
Yes. Every tour is private: your group has the guide to itself, with no other guests joining.
How many people can join a tour?
Up to 8 people per group. For larger groups, please contact us directly and we will put together a tour and a price for you.
How much does a tour cost?
Prices are per group, not per person. The Discover Zagreb tour costs 140 EUR for 1–4 people and 180 EUR for 5–8 people.
All prices are in euros and final. No VAT is charged, as the business is not in the VAT system.
What is included in the price?
A professional, licensed, English-speaking tour guide for the full duration of the tour. Entrance fees, food and drinks, transport and tips are not included.
How long is the tour, and what will we see?
The Discover Zagreb tour takes 2 hours. It covers the city's main landmarks and some hidden corners: Ban Jelačić Square, St. Mark's Church and the Upper Town, Zagreb Cathedral, Dolac Market and Tkalčićeva Street.
Where does the tour start?
At the model of the city, a scale model of Zagreb's old town, at the corner of Ban Jelačić Square, Zagreb's main square. Please arrive a few minutes before the start time.
In which language are the tours?
Our tours are guided in English.
How do I book?
Choose a date in the booking calendar on the tour page, use the reservation form, or email us. All tours are currently booked on request: we confirm availability by email and send you a secure payment link. Your booking is confirmed once payment is completed.
How and when do I pay?
Full payment is made in advance by card, through a secure payment link processed by Monri Payments. Payment must be completed at least 48 hours before the tour; if you book later than that, please pay straight away. Unpaid bookings are released 48 hours before the tour.
Companies and larger groups receive a pro forma invoice, payable at least 3 days before the tour.
Can I cancel or change my booking?
Yes. Cancel more than 24 hours before the tour starts and you get a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours of the start are not refundable. You can also move your tour to another date or time free of charge, subject to availability, if you ask more than 24 hours in advance. Please send cancellations and changes by email.
What if I'm running late?
Your guide waits for 10 minutes and tries to reach you by phone or WhatsApp. After that, the booking counts as a no-show and is not refundable. If you arrive within the waiting time, the tour still ends at the scheduled time.
What happens if it rains?
Tours run rain or shine, so please dress for the weather. If severe weather makes the tour unsafe, we cancel it and you choose between a full refund and a free new date.
Can children join?
The minimum age is 12. Children under 12 cannot take part. Participants aged 12 to 17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Is the tour suitable for people with limited mobility?
The tour involves about 2 hours of walking on city streets, including cobblestones, slopes and stairs. If anyone in your group has mobility or health needs, please tell us before booking and we will advise whether the tour is suitable.
Do you offer tours for companies and team building?
Yes. We organise private tours for corporate groups, team-building events and client entertainment, tailored to your group and schedule. Send us an enquiry with your group size and preferred dates.
Is the Black & White Zagreb tour available?
Not at the moment. Our 20th-century history tour, Black & White Zagreb, is temporarily not operating. The Discover Zagreb tour runs as usual.
Will the guide take photos of us?
Your guide is happy to take photos of your group during the tour and send them to you, free of charge. We only ever use photos in which you can be recognised on our website or social media if you separately agree.
